I wish you all could hang out with little Smith- he is such an all-American boy! I loved his chilled out attitude and the variety of cute (and hilarious) expressions. We had a great session in the park thanks to his fabulous parents and grandmother, who made sure he was completely entertained at all times (thank you!).

Oh, I just love this sweet little girl (and her parents!). I've been honored to photograph Kora several times during her first year of life and this session was just as much fun as the others have been! Kora has the most precious, happy disposition- if you don't believe me- know she was getting over an ear infection when we did our shoot and she still smiled so much! Here are some of my favorites. Leslie is another senior from Borger! She said she was nervous about her session, but she had no reason to be- we had a really great time wandering up and down 6th Street in Amarillo, and she totally rocked it!

Jerad is a senior at Borger High School, where I grew up. He did such a great job during his photoshoot- we did a lot of exploring and found some pretty cool spots. I did his sister's senior pictures a couple of years ago, and it's crazy how fast life has flown by since then! 

Jerad is going to pursue something I didn't even know existed- underwater welding. All in all, it sounds like a pretty cool job (although a dangerous one). I have a feeling he can handle it, though. :) Thanks so much Jerad!

This cowboy hat was his Dad's. 

I could only see about 50 yards in front of me as I made my way to Amarillo one extremely foggy morning. We were set to shoot at 10:00 am, and the farther I drove the more I was convinced it just wouldn't be possible. The fog was just too thick, and it wasn't rising. 

Jen + Leif had hired me before, and I knew they were just the kind of laid-back, peace-in-the-chaos kind of people that I would need to pull this shoot off. Thankfully, they were willing to give it a shot, so we unloaded them, their precious six month old Grady, and three English Springer Spaniels. 

Sweet Grady endured the cold of the morning as best he could, and though we had to take some breaks, he still was such a trooper.

Turns out, the fog created an ethereal haze around us all that made it sort of peaceful. We were just in a city park, but you would have thought we were in the middle of nowhere.

Right about here Grady let us know he was a bit cold...pacifier and all this is one of my favorites. 

Hello Gerber baby!

I have to admit, although all of their dogs are sweet and friendly, Curly is my favorite. How can you resist those curls?
