aaron • headshots • lubbock, tx

I don't often blog about it, but I love shooting headshots. Aaron is an actor and contacted me about getting some new headshots last week. I so enjoyed shooting with him and exploring all the different types of light, angle, and emotion we could capture. Headshots are so very simple and complex all at the same time! Here are some of my favorites.

Ahhhh, Fancy Booth time! If you've never been to a wedding reception with a photo booth setup, you are missing out! It is one of the best ways to entertain your guests AND get some awesome photos of them.

This year I am offering a couple to my couples that have chosen to have the Fancy Booth at their wedding reception:

Mustard + Grey OR Metallic Silver Chevron

Mustard + Grey       OR        Metallic Silver Chevron

Sarah chose the mustard + grey and it fit her design aesthetic for the wedding really well. Here are some of my favorites from their booth!

britt + emma • borger high school seniors

Britt and Emma are both seniors at Borger High School (my hometown), and wanted to shoot a few images with each other during their sessions. So, we combined them and had the best time!

These two are so much fun. Emma is easygoing and athletic- Britt is into music and fashion. I loved shooting with them both. It was clear they were friends after checking out their clothing selections. They'd planned individually, but sure enough, their wardrobes seemed to compliment each other- and most importantly, each one of them individually.

I have no doubt that God has some great plans ahead for these two ladies. I so enjoyed my time with them - and their posse! Enjoy!

the tucker family • lubbock, tx

It rained the night before our session. And the morning of. And I even had my windshield wipers on while I drove to meet them. But not once did I hear a voice of panic from Sarah or Mark- parents to three awesome kids.

This family drives in every year so that I can photograph them- and knowing that they'd made the trek made it almost impossible that we'd be able to reschedule due to the wet weather outside. Luckily, I brought a couple of umbrellas and a quilt- just in case- and I was SO thankful that this family was outfitted in boots so that the semi-muddy field was not a problem.

And, looking at the images now, I am so thankful they trusted me! I know I would have been a little worried- but sure enough, right as we began shooting the sun pierced through the clouds, and it was a beautiful morning.

Thank you, Tucker family, for letting me capture these moments for you! I can't believe how quickly the kids are growing.

michael + heather • lubbock, tx

Michael + Heather are some of our good friends, and I was excited to photograph them again since their wedding 3 years ago!

We had GORGEOUS weather that afternoon last week, and I had such a great time walking around with them. I'm not sure what my obsession with white walls is all about- but I'm always drawn to them. :)

Here are a few of my favorites from their session- don't you just love Heather's style?

After working with Bryan and Sarah, I'm not sure there are more thoughtful, kind, intentional people out there. These two were so much fun to capture as they transitioned form two to one.

Sarah had thought of everything. There were so many sentimental and special details sprinkled throughout the wedding day, I was amazed she'd had time to consider and execute them all!

Bryan and Sarah were married in the same church I was many years ago- First Baptist Church, Borger, and had their reception at one of the prettiest places in the Panhandle- Three Falls Cove. Enjoy their images!

The most memorable part of our day for me was definitely our first dance. We were nervous about looking like we didn’t know how to dance, so we started teaching ourselves how to “fancy two-step” from a YouTube video a week before our wedding. We practiced every evening and had a ton of fun while doing it.

Sarah’s mom’s toast was hilarious. She asked God to turn the ankles of our enemies so that we would know them by their limps — hilarious!

I thought this note from Sarah was helpful:

We wouldn’t change a thing! Okay, maybe we’d change one thing. We bought WAY too much wine, beer, and champagne. Many people online recommend one drink per guest per hour, and (for our wedding, at least) we have a ton left over.

These two spent a little over a week in Hawaii for their honeymoon and I enjoyed living vicariously through them as they kayaked, ate, and explored.

Many congratulations, you two!
